Church Life

Our Week

–Sunday–

Morning worship services commence at 10.00 a.m. Morning tea is served after the service, usually between 11am and 11:30am.

Children are included in the first part of the service and then leave to attend their own special programmes.

Communion Services are held monthly on the first Sunday of the month.

Children’s Programme

Teaching on a biblical theme for children three years and over. Children under three years generally stay in church, where there is an area set aside, with space for them to move around and toys to keep them occupied.

Evening Korean Service

5.00 p.m in the Church. This group meets for fellowship over a meal, followed by a Korean language service led by Rev. Joohong Kim.

Girls’ Brigade

Our Girls’ Brigade Company is presently in recess. However, we do have girls in our church who attend Girls’ Brigade. If you would like more information, contact Pat White ph 942 5088.

Parish Council

7.00 p.m. Second Monday of the month
Church leaders meet to give direction to the
life of the church.

–Tuesday–

Tuesday night Psalms

8pm to 9pm in the church.

Women’s Fellowship

12 noon A combined Women’s Fellowship group is held on the first Tuesday of the month in the St Albans Uniting church.

Bible Reading & discussion

Every 2nd and 4th Wednesdays.

Boys’ Brigade

6.30 – 8.30 p.m.

Team Section 8 – 10 years.

Company Section 11 – 18 years

Games, camps, hikes, badgework, Christian education and crafts. Older boys have the opportunity to work towards Duke of Edinburgh, Queen’s Badge and leadership training.

Home Groups

Music Group

A team of musicians and singers provide music for services. Practices are held some Thursday evenings to learn new music. 

Wanted: Singers and Bass guitarist for contemporary style worship band. If you are interested please contact Glen on 021 211 8080.

Youth Group

We have a Youth Group leader who meets with the older kids on Sundays and takes them on fun outings.

Planning and Organisation of activities in the church is undertaken by four
subcommittees.

Rest Home Services

Crossway holds regular church services in three local rest homes.

Social and Outreach Events

Are planned and held regularly. They are advertised in the weekly Church bulletin, “Vision and Voice.”
